This is a campfire effect I made in Unreal Engine 4, using a combination of Niagara and the material editor. The smoke is a simulation I created in Houdini, which I then rendered out as a series of PNGs. I then stitched them together into a sprite sheet, that I am using with a Niagara particle system to achieve the effect. The fire is a shader I created using a single fire image, that is then being distorted in a number of ways using different noise textures and panners achieve the look. I wanted this project to be in multiple different programs so I could practice creating pipelines between different applications, as well as test my knowledge of the different programs.
